When The Real House Wives of Salt Lake City’s Angie K, as she’s known affectionally on the Bravo-hit show, visited Toronto, I got the chance to ask her some rapid-fire questions. PS, you can stream new episodes of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 on Wednesdays at 9PM ET on Hayu.

FLEETSTREET: What is your go-to sunglass style?

Angie Katsanevas: I just love big shields. I don’t care who you are, big shields look so cool. You can be “unattractive” and still look like a bad a$$.

FS: How do you feel about being the centre snowflake?

AK: Oh, you know, I’m just revelling and savouring every moment of it. They tried to take me out last season. I came back, made a three-pointer, and now I’m the MVP. I am honoured because I am self-made. And I was the underdog when I started. Just like in real life, I started at the bottom and made my way to the top. I’m really proud of that.

FS: What is the hardest part about being on reality TV?

AK: I think the hardest part is that you want people to see you as a whole, not just in conflict with other women. So it’s important to show your vulnerability, your personal story, your life, and also to talk about very private things, and you really put yourself out there to do that.

FS: What hair product could you not live without?

AK: Oh, Kérastase Nectar Thermique.

FS: What is the best part about being on reality TV?

AK: The best part is that I know I am helping people by sharing my story. I feel like I’m very relatable. I love having people reach out to say, ”Your story has helped me,” “Thank you for being vulnerable,” or “You have a platform to do good things with and to help be a positive influence.”

FS: What is the Greek word of the day for you?

Since “hair” and “high body count hair” is on everyone’s tongue tonight – and will be for the next 20 years – we’re going to say malliá, which means hair. “Hair” is the greek word of the day.
